Families and Communities Program
Volunteer Grants 2019-2020
Grants are available for not-for-profit community organisations that have at least 40% of their staff as volunteers in the Warringah Federal Electorate. The funding (minimum $1000 and maximum $5000) can be used for:
•Purchase of eligible small equipment items to be used by volunteers (a list is supplied in Appendix A of the Grant Guidelines)
•Volunteers’ fuel costs
•Transport costs for volunteers with a disability
•Training courses for volunteers
•Background screening checks for volunteers, including Working With Children Checks
Please read the Grant Guidelines and FAQs before applying. If you feel your organisation is eligible, please submit an Expression of Interest Form by 5pm AEST on 7 February, 2020. (The original deadline has been extended to allow for people's absence over the Christmas/New Year period).
From the EOI’s received, a list of organisations will be submitted to the Department of Social Services requesting funding to a total of $66, 000.
If your EOI is successful, the Department of Social Services will contact you in late February and you will need to submit a formal application to them in early April.
Please note: if your not-for-profit organisation does not have an ABN, please email Zali's Grants Officer.
