The need for face masks is growing rapidly in Australia to help protect us from the spread of COVID-19. 

In Victoria, masks are now compulsory and in states like NSW they are being recommended by the government, businesses and organisations.

As the situation worsens, face masks should be exempt from the Goods and Services Tax (GST) to allow them to be accessible and affordable to all Australians.

It is unfair that such a necessary item should be taxed. I am calling on the federal government to remove GST on face masks as soon as possible.
