With Australians heading toward another federal election, concerns around misinformation and unregulated political advertising continue to grow. Truth in political advertising laws remain stalled in Parliament — leaving a significant gap in the integrity of our democratic process.
Ethical Political Advertising Code (EPAC) is a voluntary framework that invites all political candidates, parties, and campaigners to commit to honesty and transparency in their advertising.
I am asking for parliamentarians, candidates, and campaigners to pledge to run fact-based, responsible campaigns — giving voters confidence in the messages they see and hear.
“Australians overwhelmingly support truth in political advertising laws – so it’s time for politicians, candidates and political campaigners to commit to truth in political advertising.”
