Zali Steggall speech: indefinite detention for refugees is a matter of public importance
Posted August 08, 2022 · 1 reaction
Australian politics has shamefully used refugees as a political football. Vulnerable people, made more vulnerable by our system. Some have lost or taken their lives.
With fellow independents MPs, I moved a matter of public importance on refugees. In response, Minister Immigration Andrew Giles indicated a new approach. I look forward to working towards more caring and human refugee policies. -
