Come Together for YES - in Manly
YES23 is hosting "Come Together for Yes" events all across the country on Sunday 2nd of July, the start of NAIDOC WEEK to show support for the Voice Referendum. Locally, the group Warringah for the Voice is planning activities in and around Manly to show support. The community is invited to join in.

Freshwater VillageNDIS Forum with the Hon. Bill Shorten, MP
Zali Steggall, MP is hosting a Community Forum on the NDIS with special guest, the Hon. Bill Shorten, Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Minister Shorten played a key role in establishing the NDIS in 2013 and in his current role, he is responsible for the task of improving access and support for those living with a disability, while also ensuring the cost of the NDIS is sustainable.
The forum will look at what is working, what isn't and what can be done to ensure it adequately supports the Australians it was designed to assist today and in the future.

Join Community Independents Project, Anyo Geddes who will be in discussion with Zali Steggall, MP Federal Member for Warringah and Ed Coper, author of 'Facts and Other Lies', change making strategist and Populares Director to explore what disinformation is and how it threatens our democracy. The zoom will cover what to do and what not to do, providing practical advice and tools about how communities can diffuse and combat disinformation, giving them a strategic advantage.
Zali will discuss her “Stop the Lies” Bill and why false political advertising is so corrosive to our democracy, elections and referenda. This is particularly relevant to the Voice referendum where we are already hearing so much disinformation.
Afterwards, the discussion will continue in networking groups to share useful resources, tips and knowledge.
