Thank you Warringah
13 June 2025

I'm honoured to have been re-elected as your Independent Member for Warringah. This result is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve together – a win for people power and communities.
Together, we have shown that climate action, political integrity, and building an Australia where everyone — regardless of age, gender, race, or location — has an equal opportunity to thrive and feel safe are essential for our future.
As Parliament returns, I will continue to champion Warringah’s voice and advocate for the issues that matter most to our community. I remain focused on progressing:
- Climate leadership - This includes pushing for an ambitious science-based emissions reduction target of 75% by 2035, advancing my Climate Resilience Plan, and urging the government to legislate the National Climate Change Adaptation Framework.
- Integrity in politics - The last election again showed that Truth in Political Advertising laws are urgently needed. I'll continue to push for this, as well as reforms such as whistleblower protections and a stronger National Anti-Corruption Commission.
- Environmental Protection - Reforms to the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act are urgently needed so that nature and industry can have certainty.
- Re-energizing our Economy - I'll keep fighting for support for small businesses, tax reform that reduces reliance on income tax, phases out support for fossil fuels, and incentivizes productivity and innovation as we transition to a new, clean economy.
A reminder that, as always, my team is here to help with NDIS concerns, Aged Care packages, Immigration issues, and other assistance. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need help in these areas at [email protected].
Again, thank you for the honour of serving Warringah. I look forward to continuing to be a strong and independent voice for our community in the 48th Parliament.

Warringah News

Zali's Community Hub has moved
After four wonderful years in Mosman, Zali’s Community Hub has moved to Neutral Bay. The new Hub at 3/173 Military Rd, Neutral Bay (corner Wycombe Rd) will provide a more central and accessible location for residents across Warringah’s expanded North Shore. This Hub is made possible thanks to the generous support of our community and dedicated volunteer staff who share my commitment to accessible, grassroots representation.
Community Hub hours:
Mon–Fri: 10am–1pm
Thurs evenings: 5pm–7pm
(Opening hours will be adjusted based on community feedback)
The Manly Federal Electorate Office remains open Monday–Friday 9am–5pm.
Update on the Northern Beaches Hospital
It’s great that the NSW Government has listened to community concerns and passed legislation to ensure that no further public-private hospitals will be established in NSW.
This comes at a time when the NSW Public Accounts Committee has launched their inquiry into the safety and quality of health services provided by Northern Beaches Hospital. You can read my submission here.
Last month, I attended the Future of the Northern Beaches Hospital Community Forum at Dee Why RSL to hear from NSW Minister for Health, Ryan Park and the NSW Treasurer, Daniel Mookey, who discussed the NSW government’s concerns with transitioning the hospital back to public hands.
Healthscope have also flagged their interest in handing back the hospital to public hands. I look forward to engaging with the NSW Government to see what support is required from the Federal Government to help the transition be successful.
