Volunteer Grants
The Volunteer Grants 2024/25 Expression of Interest are now open.
Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 will be available to assist eligible not-for-profit community organisations that rely on volunteers.
The objectives of the Volunteer Grants are to:
- help not-for-profit community organisations to support the efforts of Australia’s volunteers
- encourage, support and increase participation in volunteering
- support children’s wellbeing through volunteering.
Examples of eligible expenditure include:
- the purchase of communication and computer equipment items to help their volunteers;
- the funding of volunteer run activities that support children’s health and wellbeing;
- the purchase of items or services for the main purpose of supporting volunteers under 18 years, or adults whose volunteering activities support the development and wellbeing of children.
Eligible not-for-profit community organisations are invited to read the Grant Opportunity Guidelines and then complete and submit an Expression of Interest Form by 5pm, Thursday 16th January 2025.
Successful nominees will be invited to lodge an application with the Department of Social Services from 26 February to 12 March 2025. Successful applicants will be notified in June 2025.
