Zali Steggall MP Questions PM on Domestic Violence

14 May 2024

When two young men died, NSW government introduced mandatory sentences for one punch attacks.

When it was terrorism, laws were changed to jail people on the apprehended risk of crimes. Your government did the same urgently for released detainees just months ago.

But when Australian men kill Australian women, the Govt’s national plan is to take ten years!

In the gallery are advocates here to hold a vigil for the 192 women killed by Australian men since the 2021 March for Justice.

Will you be tough on this domestic terrorism by leading an overhaul of national sentencing laws?
